Building a web-based program data system My most exciting recent experience as national M&E manager has been to develop a user-friendly, dependable, data capturing and reporting system. I led the system design team, and guided software developers and staff members towards the finalized form of the system. This system satisfies the requirements for 11 USAID SA Strategic Information (SASI) manual defined indicators. The system was assessed using a standard routine data quality assessment tool and for our 10 delivery sites the data quality score was on average, 90%. After four months, the system replaced our previous paper-based data management, and has delivered two quarterly reports to our major donor, USAID.
